Pre-ytv Anime Competition, Answer a few questions

As you should know, I've ran 4 YTV Anime Competitions since 2006 or so, and the fifth begins in January 2010. You know, the YTV Anime Competition? All the YTV anime face off to see who is the best? The fifth will be much larger than the previous one, with 2 new anime and the 18 previous competitors.

Before the competition starts in two months, though, I'm giving you a chance to answer a few questions.

1. Who do you WANT to win?

2. Regardless of who you want to win, who do you honestly THINK is going to win?

3. What do you think the special V Battle will be like?

4. How far do you think Naruto, Eureka Seven, Bleach and FullMetal Alchemist are going to get before they are each eliminated?

5. How long do you think the competition will last? Remember, there is no set date for it to end.

6. Have you ever voted for the YTV Anime Competition?

7. Do you intend on voting every round during the competition?

8. Is Naruto's 'BELIEVE IT' or 'DATTEBAYO' annoying?

Which, if you count, starts on January 2nd.

What is the significance of that date, exactly?

Hahaha! January 2, 2010, is the fourth anniversary of the first competition way back in January 2006.

Yeah, it's that old.

Yes, I did start the competition when I was 8.

The reason for its creation? On the first day of 2006, YTV had a special event, having voters select the best 20 shows on YTV.

Doo da doo, Spongebob wins, of course. But no anime were in the top 20. To make up for this, YTV showed Naruto right after Spongebob, because it recieved the most votes out of all the anime.

And you know what? I was the only person to scream "RECOUNT!"

So, the day after, I made the YTV Anime Competition to make sure we knew which the best anime of that time was.

... which ended up being Naruto again, anyways.

But of course, the competition didn't stop there. I started the second competition only a few days after the first ended.

And the rest is history.

I'm not actually familiar with the competitors. I haven't seen this competition on the boards before ^0^;
But if the competitors are animes that have been on YTV, I REALLY want Shaman King to win.
2. Regardless of who you want to win, who do you honestly THINK is going to win?

3. What do you think the special V Battle will be like?
If this was an anime, this would be when question marks went flying out of my head.
If any of you have watched Lucky Star, then just picture Tsukasa being Tsukasa and that's how clueless I am. 8D
4. How far do you think Naruto, Eureka Seven, Bleach and FullMetal Alchemist are going to get before they are each eliminated?
Oh, I think those'll be some pretty high-rankers. They'll probably all make it to the top 10, at least.

Hmmm... the boards seem a lot less active than they used to be, so I don't think that it'll last a full 8 months. It would seem a bit tedious by then, anyway.

Nope, I'm unfamiliar with it.
7. Do you intend on voting every round during the competition?
That depends. I plan to stop voting if it ends up coming down to just Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, etc.

I never bothered to watch Naruto. "What kind of a computer-generated plot can you have by your 300th episode?" is what I always say.

Hmmm... that's a tough one. Life would be easy if I was Konata from Lucky Star xD
But... life would be more fun if I was Maka, from Soul Eater. Yeah, I'd go for that xD

In response to several of LuckyDucki's ponders:

Shaman King is not a participant, because it was removed before the first competition. I'm considering letting some of the earlier anime into the contest, though.

Naruto won the first one, but has been on a miserable failing streak since then.

V Battle is the name given to the 2010 YTV Anime Competition, because it is the fifth.

Actually, the four anime mentioned which I asked how far would get are actually the winners of the first four competitions, and no competitor has ever made it through the next competition that far.

This year's competition will have 17 rounds, each lasting 2 weeks each. Times may be changed throughout, though, so that's why I estimated 8-10 months. It doesn't matter what the user activity is.

Chances are, Naruto will be eliminated near first, Bleach and Inuyasha closeby.

Because you don't know, yes, Naruto is annoying.

Spongeman05 runs Elimination in the YTV - General area. His Elimination uses shows from various places. His Elimination V will start soon.

Light: No, not literally killing me. I meant the YTV people for cancelling my show Death Note some time ago. I'LL SHOW THEM ALL!
Namm: Oh. Yeah. That was entirely their fault. Sorry for bothering you.

Namm: Yeah, we had some issues with that. Mainly, the Death Note kills people, and that's not good. Ups the drama for sure, but I think YTV would prefer that we don't touch their anime characters.
